Christopher Isaak was born on June 26, 1956, in Stockton, California.Starting in 2001, Chris Isaak became the lead in a sitcom for the Showtime network that was loosely based on the performer’s life. Essentially playing himself in The Chris Isaak Show, the blue-eyed singer and actor charmed audiences with a humorous, offbeat take on a rock star’s life. During the series’ three-year run that featured musical guest appearances by everyone from Michael Buble to the band Green Day, Isaak also managed to release another strong studio album, Always Got Tonight (2002), which featured the hit single “Let Me Down Easy.” Continuing to pursue his acting career, Isaak appeared in the John Waters film A Dirty Shame (2004) with Tracy Ullman and Johnny Knoxville.

Music, however, remains Isaak’s first love. In 2004, he also found time between acting gigs to record a warmly received collection of seasonal music called, simply, Chris Isaak Christmas. After releasing a well-received greatest hits collection, Best of Chris Isaak (2006), the performer maintains a vigorous touring schedule, thanks to the dedicated fans around the world who continue to attend his shows. The year 2009 was arguably one of the biggest yet in regards to Isaak’s career. He appeared in the film, The Informers, a drama based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis. The movie also featured a star-studded cast which included Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke, and Winona Ryder.

His music-themed interview show, The Chris Isaak Hour, also debuted on the BIO Channel in February, and his album, Mr. Lucky, was released the same week as his series. Two years later, Isaak released the album Beyond the Sun.

Chris Isaak is an American musician, singer, and actor. He is best known for his work in the 1980s and 1990s, and his hit single “Wicked Game.”

Isaak was born in Stockton, California, on June 26, 1956. He is the son of Dorothy (née Vignolo), a homemaker, and Joe Isaak, a truck driver. Isaak’s Italian father emigrated from Italy in the 1930s.

Isaak has three older siblings: Nancy, Jeff, and Debbie. His musical interest began early; at the age of five, he began taking guitar lessons from his uncle Bob.

Isaak attended Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in North Stockton, where he was a member of the football team. In 1974, he graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a degree in communications.

Isaak’s first band was Silvertone, which he formed with school friends James Calvin Wilsey and Kenney Dale Johnson. The band released their first album, Silvertone, in 1985.

Isaak’s solo career began in 1985 with the release of his debut album, Silvertone. The album’s first single, “Dancin’,” was a top-ten hit in Australia and New Zealand.

Isaak’s second album, Chris Isaak, was released in 1986. The album’s first single, “Gone Ridin’,” was a top-twenty hit in the United Kingdom.

Isaak’s third album, Heart Shaped World, was released in 1989. The album’s first single, “Wicked Game,” was a top-ten hit in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and several European countries.

Isaak has released nine albums, including Silvertone (1985), Chris Isaak (1986), Heart Shaped World (1989), San Francisco Days (1993), Forever Blue (1995), Baja Sessions (1996), Speak of the Devil (1998), Beyond the Sun (2011), and First Comes the Night (2015).

Isaak has appeared in films such as The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Little Buddha (1993), That Thing You Do! (1996), The Truman Show (1998), and Brokeback Mountain (2005).

Isaak has been married to his wife, actress and model Majken Haugedal, since 1995. They have two sons, Christopher and Levi.
