Actress and philanthropist Rooney Mara was born on April 17, 1985 in Bedford, New York.Rooney studied and graduated from Fox Lane High School in 2003. Once completing her graduation, she traveled to Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in South America for four months. She is the great-granddaughter of Art Rooney, the founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers football franchise.
