Thora has also appeared in television commercials for California Raisins (1986), Quaker Oats(1987), Burger King along with Jonathan Taylor Thomas in 1990 and print advertisements for Eclipse Flash Strips Gum in 2002.Over the course of her life, Birch has come-of-age on film, graduating from roles in traditional, child-actor fare to playing layered, complex characters. Named after the Norse god Thor, Birch began acting at the age of 4 in a series of commercials for California raisins.She has also won a award at the age of only  nine years old.
